After releasing a new software update for the Galaxy S24 series earlier today, Samsung has also released an update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. Both phones are now more secure, but they have not received any new features.
The new update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is now available in South Korea with firmware version F95xNKSS4DZF3. It could be released in other countries and regions over the next few days. The update includes the June 2026 security patch for both foldable phones. Some users were expecting features such as File Summaries and Notification Highlights, which debuted on the Galaxy S26 series earlier this year, but those additions are missing from this release.
If you own either of the foldable phones mentioned above and live in South Korea, you can download and install the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Check for updates. Once the download is complete, tap the Install now button to begin the installation process.
Now that Google has released the stable Android 17 update for Pixel devices, Samsung could accelerate development of One UI 9.0 for Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S26 series has already received two One UI 9.0 beta updates, and the stable version could be released within the next couple of months.
